Payroll Administrator Wanted

  • Full time 35 hours per week
  • Salary: £25,000 per annum
  • 30 days annual leave (rises to 33)

  • Location: Huyton – near M57/ M62 junction
  • Office based

The ideal candidate

Will be proficient in all aspects of end-to-end payroll processes, have a can do and pro-active attitude, be proud to work for a non-profit organisation and embrace our Vision Mission and Values.

The role

The role involves supporting the full end-to-end processing of 4-weekly payrolls for 1000+ companies (many individual employers) including registering PAYE schemes with HMRC, pensions auto-enrolment administration and preparation of quarterly notices for tax and NI returns. Duties will also include receiving and processing variations, sending pay slips and processing telephone, email and occasional face-to-face queries

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, the main purpose of this role is to work as part a team to administer payrolls for multiple companies to strict deadlines and deliver a high standard of customer service.

Requirements

Previous experience operating large scale payrolls and the ability to work in a fast paced environment to strict deadlines is essential. Familiarity with using IRIS FMP Payrite software is a distinct advantage.

Other requirements include:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organisation, self-motivation and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
