Project Worker - Someone To Talk To Service

Delivered by Knowsley Disability Concern, Someone to Talk To is a free confidential service for Knowsley residents offering emotional support, a sympathetic ear and practical advice. The service aims to tackle the challenges of isolation, depression, anxiety and stress by providing a safe space for people to talk and share their problems. On-going support is delivered through regular wellbeing calls and referrals made to specialist local agencies for help to resolve other issues as they arise.

We are looking to appoint a Project Worker to act as a first point of contact for this busy telephone support service.

The successful applicant will be a good listener, approachable, empathetic and able to communicate with a wide range of age groups. A willingness to work flexibly with minimal supervision is essential. The post is home-based following an initial period of induction and training.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the people in the local community.
