Knowsley Disability Concern (KDC) delivers learning and development activities for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to improve their confidence, learn new skills and gain the ability to achieve greater independence.
Managing my Money is an established and popular programme of 2 hour sessions provided in community settings aimed at helping people improve their ability to manage money. The course covers topics such recognising the value of different coins and notes, how to spend safely, budgeting, saving and operating bank accounts,
We have a vacancy for a Coordinator to deliver our Managing my Money course to small groups of adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, with support from a learning assistant. This is an exciting and rewarding role working in a successful charity as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities individually and in group settings, and possess a passion and commitment to helping them develop their potential. The role calls for strong organisational and planning abilities together with excellent communication skills. A track record in supporting people to achieve individual learning outcomes would be advantageous.
