Access Group
Volunteers
The Knowsley Access Group, which meets at Knowsley Disability Concern on the last Thursday of every month, was formed to meet the following objectives:
Members of the Access Group are predominately-disabled people but also professionals attend who work in the disability arena.
Some of the work that the group have been involved with have included visits to local businesses or organisations to advise them about access to their premises.
At a recent meeting the Project Director from the developments at Whiston and St Helens hospitals attended and gave a talk about these plans. The group have been invited to become involved in the project in a consultative capacity.
Previous attendees at the meetings have included a representative from Liverpool Museum who told us about the plans to improve access for disabled people
Anyone interested in joining the Access Group is invited to attend any of our meetings.
